Niclas Jenson. Born 1420. Niclas was French, he spent a lot of time in Italy. He was a font designer,engraver and pioneer. It was this man who created one of the finest early Roman fonts. Niclas Jenson is an importen character fromthe beginning of the century.
His fame was one ofthe gratest scriptual designers, this was used in Eusebius`s de proaperationale evangelica. Iy represents wonderful Roman type design,

Claude Garmond is also important for this time. He was born in1510. Worked ax a type designer, publisher and cutter. His style is what we call it today seriff design on old style. Organic structure ofthe produced letters, at the same time as it resembles handwrighting with pen.
